Flight of Fancy

Good evening crafty friends, followers and visitors

I have had a lovely day with my crafty friend Kath aka Mucky Paws.  I managed to make 2 canvas's and one of them I am showing tonight.

We had a lot of fun today crafting together, bouncing ideas off each other and boy am I going to miss her while she is off on her travels.  I am sure she and Steve will have a lovely time and off course she will be meeting up with her son so that is extra special too.

Recipe

1. 8 x 8 canvas which I have covered with Pebeo yellow acrylic paint I then layered on the top paper from Bo Bunny.
2. I used a mixture of Pebeo green gold, white and off white acrylic paint and stippled around the paper which I tore with my scissors to give an aged look.
3.  The topper is from Bo Bunny which I have distressed and stamped a bird (this was Kath's)
4.  I have added circle grunge paper to one corner and stippled over this too.  I then used gold gilding wax around the painted area of the canvas.
5. The branch and the bird (which are die cut) in the right corner have been heat embossed with Fran-Tage Ivory with gold metallic bits.
6.  To finish off I have added corners which I have bowed, a bird charm and the word imagine.

Salford to Liverpool

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend.  My hubby and I met up with Rick's brothers, adopted sister and cousin this weekend in Salford.  We were celebrating Michael's 65th and Willa's 50th birthdays and had a brilliant time.  We always get together and do something different and I think this as been as different as you could get.  We are scattered all over the UK so it is lovely to get together for a weekend and catch up.

Rick organised the trip which was the Salford to Liverpool canal cruise.  We spent 6 hours on a canal boat!  We set off from Salford Quays at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, gosh it was so windy and cold.  When the sun shone it was lovely but we did have rain but it was fun.  We travelled under 21 bridges and five sets of locks which lifted us a total of 17 metres.  As you know I live in Warrington and I have often had to stop to let the canal boats travel through so it was lovely being on the canal boat and other drivers having to stop for us.

We docked at the Pier Head in Liverpool just after 4 o'clock and had 2½ hours to have a look around before we were picked up by double decker buses to take us back to Salford.  We had a mooch around the shops at Albert Dock.  We finished the night off with a family meal.

Yesterday we had a mooch around the Lowry centre and of course I treated myself to some new clothes, which I desperately needed I might add, 5 new tops and 3 pairs of trousers.

Here are a few photographs.

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you have all had a good day and managed to do some crafting.  Today I went and had a day out crafting at my friend Kath's house.  We took a trip out to Dunelm and Hobbycraft and picked up a few bits and bobs then went back and made jewellery.

I have a lovely time and Kath and I had a good laugh and yes cake was on the menu too.  Here are some of the items I made today.  I don't think I did too bad considering I am quite new to jewellery making.

Thank you Kath for a fabulous day.
