Tonight's card I have made for the one word challenge set by Angie who won last night's challenge.  She chose the word Owls.  I just had to use this owl from Sam Poole's Wise Friend set.

Recipe

1. 6 x 6 Gold ribbed square card.
2. Matted and layered orange and brown pearlescent card.
3. Stamped owl which is from Sam Poole's Wise Friend stamp set onto acetate and embossed with gold embossing powder.  Painted the back of the owl with acrylic paints, once dry added floor wax cleaner to the back then added orange, gold and brown mica powder, put a tissue over this and left to dry.  Once dried cut to a square and attached to gold mirri card with brads then matted and layered onto brown card.
4. Stamped feather onto tissue paper and embossed with gold embossing powder cut out and stuck to card.  5. The leaves where stamped onto scrap card which was left over from a card I made a couple of days ago which has radiance inks ginger spice and ginger flower, cut out and placed down the side of the card.

Love Potion No 9

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I have had a lovely day playing with my new stamps by Sheena Douglass.  Very magical and fabulous stamps.  I am a big Harry Potter fan and have read the books at least 3 times and watched the films 3 times too.  You have just gotta love Alan Rickman as Snape he is as Ron would say "bloody brilliant".

I have tried a technique that Sheena showed us a few years ago using Floor polish wax with mica powders and acetate, it hasn't come out as well as I wanted but for a first attempt I don't think I have done too bad.  I used Silver embossing powder for the Goblet but it doesn't show up very well on the photograph but does in real life!

Recipe
1. The base card is made using Spellbinder Grande Circle die and pearlescent card
2. I have added lilac spotty card to the base and wrapped silver ribbon around.  I stamped the bottles onto Neenah card with Memento and coloured them with Copics.
3.  I cut out the silver pearlescent card using Spellbinder Grande Decorative circle die.
4. I cut the frame using pearlescent white card and Grande circle dies.
5.  I stamped the goblet using Versamark and embossed with WOW embossing powder in silver onto acetate which I had cut out.  I spread the polish over the acetate and added mica powder then put a single sheet of tissue and left to dry.
6 Once this was dry I matted and layered onto a piece of pinkish card, then added the frame which I have stamped the swirls from the stamps set, as well as the sentiment Love and Love Potion No 9.

Lakeside Shore

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

WOW I am only 17 followers away from 800 and the draw for my blog candy will be made on Sunday 1st September.  I had a lovely day visiting with my parents but had to come home early as I wasn't feeling too good and spent the rest of the day in bed.  I got up about teatime, still feel a bit groggy.  I have a busy day tomorrow so will be having an early night.

Today's card is another of Sheena's Stamps, I have used the Lakeside Shore stamp but created a monochromatic Christmas card.

Recipe

1. I have made a card by cutting an A4 portrait card in half.  I then matted and layered black pearlescent card with white ribbon wrapped around one end.
2. I stamped the image onto white card using Black Memento Ink and added Detail Sparkle in Diamond to the clouds and the trees and ground as snow
3. I drew around the image with a black pen to frame the image.
4. I stamped the sentiment onto white card and matted and layered onto black card.
5. To finish off I have punched out black snowflakes using Martha Stewart Snowflake punch

Today's card I made yesterday, I found a few challenges that this will fit into, I have used Ryn's Clown Fish and Rising Bubbles and I gave it the title of gone fishing, the Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby song was going through my mind from the film High Society whilst making this card.
