Peacocks

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

We have had such a beautiful sunny day here today although it has been a bit chilly.  What do you have planned for this weekend?  I have a nice quiet weekend planned apart from the usual housework, washing and ironing.  I will be getting some DT work done though, getting my Copic's out and colouring images in.

Yesterday I won our One Word Challenge on Facebook and I got to pick today's word which was birds. 


Recipe

1. 7 x 7 white card which I have matted and layered blue mirri card.
2. On black glossy card from Imagination Crafts, I stencilled the peacocks with Champagne Sparkle Medium, then a light touch of Blue Moonstone on the feathers.
3. I then use white pearlescent card and Joy feather die to cut out the feather.
4. To finish off I added blue gems to 3 of the corners and one on the feather and added a sentiment.

The best thing...

A chilly morning here today.  Can you believe that today is the last day of February?  Where has this month gone? I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Today's card is another one I made while I was at Kath's using Sheena Douglass products.


Recipe

1. 8 x 8 cream square card.
2. Using black card I embossed using the Sunflower Meadow embossing folder then coloured with Silks Pretty Peridot.
3. I stamped the sentiment from the Only Words Through the Rain stamp set onto white card and distressed with Shabby Shutters
4. The leaves are from a Little Bit Magical stamp set The Quest and coloured with Bundle Sage
5. From the A4 sheet of card I cut out the smaller sunflowers and coloured with Radiant Rain ginger peach.

Wisdom!

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I had a brilliant day yesterday, I was able to play with lots of my Sheena Douglass' goodies, from embossing folders to Luminarte Silks and Stamps.  Now I do so love my trees and this is a new stamp to my collection.

I hope you like this card I have made using the "Majestic Oak" stamp.


Recipe

1. Cream A5 Card which I have matted and layered black card.
2. Kraft card embossed with Sheena's Leafy Corner embossing folder the distressed with Brushed Corduroy, this made the embossed leaves "POP".
3. On a piece of Kraft card I stamped the oak tree with Versafine Vintage Sepia and then embossed with clear embossing powder then cut card down, I stamped the word using the same ink pad.  To finish off I inked around the topper with DI Black Soot.
4. I cut the leaves out from another piece of embossed card and added to the corner
5. I wrapped Baker's Twine 3 times around the card then made a bow.

Ivy

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I had a wonderful day yesterday with Kath, we craft to our hearts content and made some beautiful projects.

Today's card is made using one of the new panel stencils and patterned card from Imagination Crafts.


Recipe

1. A4 card folder in half lengthways and then cut measure 21.5 cm long.
2. The first layer is purple card.
3. The topper is one of the panel cards which I have stencilled the Ivy with Sage Green Sparkle Medium, I then matted and layered onto the purple card and wrapped purple ribbon around both layers before adhering to the base of the card.
4. I punched out silver and purple flowers and joined them together before placing along the ivy stem.
5. To finish off I made a triple bow, added the sentiment and square gems.

Silhouette Grasses

Another quick post this morning as I am off to see my friend Kath and will be staying overnight.  We have a day of crafting planned too.

My card today is made using Sheena Douglass' Silhouette Grass embossing folder.


Recipe

1. A5 scalloped white card
2. First layer is background I have made using a rule and distress inks
3. I embossed the image onto the reverse of pearlescent card and distressed with Broken China once dry I then swept over with Stazon Stone Gray.
4. I punched out butterflies from a sheet of silver card which I have brayered with Diamond Sparkle Medium.
5. To finish off I added the pearl bead spray and roses.

Elisabeth Bell's World Challenge

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you have all had a wonderful day, it sure has been a busy one here for me today.

Today is the start of our new challenge over at Elisabeth Bell World and this month we would like to see your  Happy Birthday cards.  For my card I have used Cinnamon Sugar Stamp from Whimsy Stamps.   We look forward to seeing your entries and please check out the blog to see what the talented design team have created.


Recipe

1. 6 x 6 square scalloped card, I have threaded white ribbon around the card and made a bow.
2. First layer is red  pearlescent card.
3. Using pink pearlescent card I used Tattered Lace Doily Delights and placed under the topper.
4. I stamped the image onto Supersmooth card and coloured with Copics, I then cut out with Spellbinder Decorative Oval die and distressed with PanPastel Permanent Red Tint.
5. From the Doily Delights die I have used one of the small hearts on one of the corners and added a sentiment.
6. To finish off I added flowers from Sweet Lilac and added red pearl gems to the centres and on the centre of the bow.

Fairy Whispers

A quick post today as lots to get done.  I hope you all have a fabulous day.  Today's card is made using a couple of my Lavinia stamps and background card.



Recipe

1. 7 x 7 cream square card which I have matted and layered pink mirri card.
2. The second layer is black which I have wrapped ribbon around and matted and layered onto the mirri card.
3. I have matted and layered pink card and then layered the card onto the base.
4. The topper is card from Lavinia which I have stamped the main image of the little girl and the fairy, stamped the crackle at the top and the poppy bud stamp first and second generation.
5. Using the pink mirri I have cut out the Joy feather dies and placed under the ribbon
6. To finish off I have added 3 cherry blossoms.

Little Friend

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

It is my turn a GDT for Digi Bells to showcase another card I have made using another of Elisabeth Bells beautiful digi's.  Today I have used Little Friend another of my favourites.


Recipe

1. Labels 1 shaped card
2. Pale lemon card cut out with Spellbinder Labels 1 Die
3. Floral blue card is from Creata and again cut out with above die.
4. I printed the image onto Supersmooth card and coloured with Copics then distressed with Dew Drops Versamagic Thatched Straw the edges. I then matted and layered with Foam pads
5. I plaited 3 pieces of ribbon and attached across the card and made a double bow and added a pearl gem.
6. I then added a feather and 3 roses with pearl spray.  The sentiment is from my stach as are the pearls in the 3 corners.

A quick post this morning as off to see my granddaughters.  Looking forward to seeing them as not seen them for a while.  Rick and I had a fabulous time a Gill's party last night and it was lovely to catch up with the family.

1. 6 x 6 white square card with embossed and scalloped front.
2. First and second layers are matted and layered from the kit
3. The topper I have matted and layered with Pinflair for dimension.
4. To finish off I added the sentiment and Card Candi.

Little Blossom

How has your day been, I have had a nice chilled day really, finished off a few things and made a start on some other projects.

Tonight we are off to my beautiful cousin Gill's 50th Birthday Party.  Really looking forward to catching up with the family tonight as not seen them in a while.


Recipe

1. Shaped white square card which I have matted and layered at an angle polka dot blue card from Creata cut out with Spellbinder Labels 1 die.
2. The second layer has also been cut out with the above die and is from Creata.
3. The next layer is white pearlescent card which I have matted and layered the topper  (Hobby House) with foam pads.  I inked the edges with Dew Drops Brilliance Ink in blue.
4. From my stash I added the flourish, pearl gems and the butterfly.
5. The cute little blossoms are from Sweet Lilac.

Home is where love resides!

Well didn't this past week go so quick, with being at the Trade Show last weekend I seem to have lost a day somewhere!  Fluffy has been given a clean bill of health from the Vet so we are happy about that.  Not long now and I will let her out to play!

Seven years ago today I donated a kidney to my son, I don't know where the years have gone!  It was such an emotional day too and I so happy that he is doing really well too.  Also Happy Birthday to my lovely Mum, love you lots xxxxx

Today's card I have used the sentiment as the main feature, I do love this sentiment!


Recipe

1. 6 x 6 cream square card which I have matted and layered lilac card.
2. Second layer is from the Aspire Vintage Bloom card kit.
3. The frame I have stamped the sentiment with Inkylicious stamp with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder I then distressed with Dusty Concord.
4. I added the Sweet Lilac flowers which have been distressed and added pearl gems to the centres.
5. To finish off I added pearls to the frame and pearl dragonfly.

Butterfly Love

My card is made using the Sugar Rush card kit collection.


Recipe

1. A6 white card which I have matted and layered the stripped card.
2. I added the foiled doily and added the sentiment and a bow.
3. I added the roses to two corners and glittered the roses.
4. To finish off I added one of the butterflies.

Celebrate Art Deco Style

I hope you have all had a good day and managed to get some crafting done.  I have made 5 cards today and will be showing them over the next few days.

Tonight's card is made using Docrafts Papermania Art Deco card kit.  I love Art Deco, my favourite film is the Great Gatsby.


Recipe

1. 7 x 7 white square card, I wrapped black and yellow ribbon around the Art Deco Paper then matted and layered onto the base card.
2. The topper has been matted and layered onto yellow pearlescent card which I then decoupaged.
3. I added a cream feather a double bow and a cream dazzler.
4. To finish off I added the sentiment "Celebrate"

Butterfly Fairy

I had a lovely crafty day yesterday with Kath, I can't show you what I started to make as it is a present.  I have had a busy morning so far and now need to get some crafting done!  Lots to do too!

Recipe

1. Circle scalloped white card, which I have matted and layered polka dot card which has been cut out with Spellbinder Scalloped Die.
2. The purple card has been cut out with Spellbinder Decorative circle and I have threaded brown ribbon through and made a bow.
3. The topper I have distressed with PanPastel Metallic Gold and glittered her wings.
4. I punched out 3 butterflies and added gems to the centres.
5. To finish off I have added 3 roses and stickpins.

With love on your Birthday

A quick post this morning as I am off to pick Kath up and bring her back to ours for our Crafting Play Day! I hope you all have a wonderful day and catch you all later.


Recipe

1. Purple pearlescent card made into a side stepper card.
2. White square doily distressed with PanPastel.
3. Topper has been distressed with PanPastel and matted and layered onto gold pearlescent card.
4. I added the lace trim to the bottom and 3 lilac flowers from Sweet Lilac, added pearl gems to the centres and paper curls.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment, the mirri die cut flourish and the string of pearls.

A Flower for you!

How have you all been today?  A busy day catching up on commenting and errands too.  Fluffy passed her Vet's visit following her op last Friday.  At the moment my 2 fur babies are curled up on the settee sleeping!

A quick card for you tonight which I made for the One Word challenge on Mad Crafter's Giggle Facebook group.  The word is Child/Children.


Recipe

1. 6 x 6 gold square card which I have matted and layered patterned card from Creata which I cut out using my Spellbinder Square die.   I wrapped brown ribbon around the bottom right hand corner.
2. The next layer is brown pearlescent card cut out with XCut ornate frame.
3. I cut the topper which is from Hobby House by Elisabeth Bell with Spellbinder Square die and distressed with an assortment of PanPastel colours.
4. To finish off I distressed the flowers which are from Sweet Lilac with PanPastel and added a gem to the centres.
5. To finish off I made a double bow and added a large gem to the centre.

Let there be Laughter!

I had a fabulous time at the Trade show with Sue and Harvey and my good friend Kath.  It was a busy couple of days but such fun.  We travelled home last night in the rain and we were both shattered.  I had a good nights sleep and this morning off to the Vets for Fluffy's check up after her operation.  Will be trying to catch up today and got washing and ironing to do too.

For my card I have used Sheena Douglass' A4 embossing folder and stamps too.


Recipe

1. 8 x 8 white pearlescent square card, I have matted and layered blue card onto the base.
2. The second layer has been embossed with Sheena Douglass Grande Floral embossing folder then distressed with squeezed lemonade.  I use Orange Spica pen for the centre of the flowers.
4. I stamped the leaves and flourish onto Supersmooth with Adirondack Stonewash and embossed then coloured with Lettuce.
5. The flowers have been done the same as above and coloured with Spica and Lettuce.
6. To finish off I stamped the sentiment onto cream card with Lettuce, embossed and distressed lightly with squeezed lemonade.

Time after Time

This is a schedule post as I am demonstrating at the Trade Show in Birmingham.  If you are going please do pop by and say hello.  I am on the Imagination Crafts stand.

Today's card is all about Time!  It sure is passing us by, too quickly for me.


Recipe

1. 7 x 7 square cream card which I have matted and layered Dark Green Pearlescent card onto the base.
2. The second layer is from DoCrafts Chronology paper pack, I have distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.
3. The next layer is shaped card also from above kit which I have distressed with Vintage Photo, stamped "Time" with Versafine Sepia and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then stamped the cogs with Forest Moss.
4. On Supersmooth card I stamped 3 of the timepieces from the Visible Image Time after Time Stamp set with Versafine embossed then coloured with distress ink.  Once they were adhered to the card I added 3D Crystal Glaze.

Proud as Peacocks

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  This is a scheduled post as I am away at the Trade Show at the NEC, Birmingham demonstrating for Imagination Crafts.

Today's card is using Imagination Crafts, Sparkle Medium, Peacock Stencil and Black Glossy Card.


Recipe

1. Labels 1 shaped card which I have inked through the feathers of the stencil with gold ink.
2. I stencilled the Peacocks with Gold Shine Sparkle Medium onto black glossy card.
3. Using jade pearlescent card I made a frame with Spellbinder Grande Labels 1 die to frame the peacocks.
4. To finish off I added 3 flowers with 3 stick pins.

Inspiration for the Imagination Crafts Challenge

WOW half way through February already, time sure is marching on.  Well as most of you know it was my 15th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday and I made this for my hubby, the photograph was taken when we were on holiday a few years and I thought represented how we have enjoyed these past 15 years together, we have had our ups and downs like anyone but we are soul mates.

Here is my inspiration for you, I hope you will take time to visit the challenge blog to see what my design team have created, they sure have made some stunning creations to inspire you all.





Recipe

1. Wooden MDF Heart I have painted with MDF Limestone paint
2. Brayered with Gold Shine Sparkle Medium, one this was dry I then stencilled the Heart Leaf mask with Bright Red Sparkle Medium.
3. I die cut 2 hearts in red pearlescent card on one of the hearts I attached the photograph then joined the two hearts together.
4. The sentiment was cut out with Tattered Lace sentiment die using gold mirri card.
5. I threaded gold ribbon through the top and tied a bow.
6. To finish off I have added 3 red roses and leaves.

Vintage Sweetheart

I hope you have all had a lovely Valentine's Day.  I sure have had a busy day as I am off to Birmingham tomorrow for the Trade Show.  Everything is all done and dusted now so just got a few things to pack and I am ready.

Tonight's card I have made using one of the beautiful vintage images from Scribble and Scrap!


Recipe

1. 6 x 6 cream square card which I have matted and layered Kraft Card.
2. The second layer is from my stash I have wrapped brown lace around both layers.
3. The frame is from Vintage Bloom which I have decorated with Gilding Flakes.
4. The image I have cut out and matted and layered with Foam Pads for dimension.
5. To finish off I have added 3 roses, brown pearl gems and the sentiment.
