Evening Song

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all this Tuesday morning?

Today is the day I share another project using my papers and ephemera which you can purchase from Emerald City Crafts UK my Etsy store. You can purchase the paper packs or digi downloads.

Today I am show casing Les Beaux Oiseaux (the beautiful birds)


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white scalloped edge square card.
2. Matted and layered cream embossed card which I have distressed the edges with DI ground espresso.
3. I printed off the musical background paper, distressed the edges with scissors and ground espresso, I scrunched it up to create creases and swiped the ink pad lightly across to highlight the creases.
4. The image I distressed the edges and matted and layered onto cream embossed card.
5. Using Wild Orchid Craft flowers and leaves created the bouquet.
6. To finish off I added brown pearl gems.

Be Mine

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

WOW can you believe it is the last Monday of January!

This month has gone so quick it is scary.

A Valentine card to share with you today using Just Because stamp set from Stamps by Me.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square card base.
2. Matted and layered red pearlescent card with heart ribbon wrapped around the bottom.
3. The topper was created by first doing the shaving foam technique with Generation re-inkers in black and red.  I then stamped the floral heart in red and embossed with clear WOW embossing powder. I restamped the bottom half of the stamp and decoupaged the flowers.  I then stamped the sentiment in Generation INX black.
4. Matted and layered topper onto black card.
5. To finish off I added 2 pearl hearts.

Journal Pages

Good Afternoon Crafter's

Just wanting to share with you the 2 journal page spreads I created at the workshop led by Mike Deakin Art.

I would thoroughly recommend these workshops as I have learnt such a lot in my journaling journey.

The picture below shows the first double page spread I created using the wonderful IndigoBlu Luscious Powders!


The second double page spread I have used a combination of papers and lace on the background and spritzed Luscious Powders, also stencilled using Slap it on and varies stamps from IndigoBlu. The ticket is from Mike's digi store.

How are you all today?

I had a lovely time yesterday at the workshop. 
Another relaxing chilled day planned here today!

For today's card I have used Holly-Rose from Make it Crafty


Step by Step

1. A5 white base card.
2. Matted and layered blue pearlescent card and papers from Blissful Cocoa paper pad, the brown patterned paper has been distressed around the edges with DI wilted violet.
3. Printed the image onto Make it Colour blendable card and coloured with Copic markers, distressed the edges with wilted violet before matting and layering onto blue pearlescent card.
4. Created the bouquet using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
5. To finish off added the sentiment which has also been distressed with wilted violet. The sentiment reads "special friend"

Dreams of a Kitten

An early blog post this morning as off to Leeds for a workshop.
Looking forward to meeting up with my crafting friends.

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.

A new card to share today using one of my new stamp sets by Clarity Stamp.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card base.
2. Matted and layered brown pearlescent card.
3. To create the topper I first used the bubble stencil and DI Stormy sky, I kept the large circle piece inside so as not to contamination with the ink. 
4. Next I stamped the kitten and sentiment with black Archival ink and water coloured the kitten with my Derwent watercolour pencils. On the opposite sides of the circle I brushed ground espresso very lightly and then distressed around the edge of the topper with stormy sky.
5. To finish off I added pearl gem corner.

Voyage of Discovery

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How has your week been? Mine sure has been a busy but enjoyable one.

Today I am sharing with you another steampunk card using the Steampunked papers and ephemera from my Etsy store, Emerald City Crafts UK.

This is a male card, need to get plenty of male cards made as we have quite a few men in our family on Ricks side of the family.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered Kraft card and a sheet of the papers from Steampunked.
3. Along the centre of the card added a piece of hessian/burlap.
4. Matted and layered the ephemera onto Kraft card.
5. To decorate I cut out SB Sprockets and Cogs with Kraft card then distressed distressed with ground espresso.
6. To finish off I added the arrow and sentiment.

Debbi Moore Reader's Gallery Winner!

Oh my yesterday I received an email from Debbi Moore Designs informing me that I had won the reader's gallery competition with one of my mixed media projects using the Steampunk Craft Collection! To say I was shocked is an understatement!

Here are the two mixed media projects I put forward.

It's all about You...

Another day videoing planned today. I have a couple of projects I want to record and hoping to get them both done and at least one of the video's edited too.

Today sharing a card made using the shaving foam technique and Stamps by Me inks and stamps.


Step by Step

1. A5 white landscape card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered blue mirri and lilac card to base card.
3. Before adhering to base card wrapped blue organza ribbon around both layers.
4. The topper has been created by using the shaving foam technique and the Generation re-inkers in blue and purple. I then cut the card down to size and stamped the tulips from the Hooray stamp set first in blue and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The centre stamp is the lamination part of the stamp and this was stamped with purple and embossed with WOW clear embossing powder.  To finish off I used the laminate stamp over the stamped tulips with navy lightly spritzing with water.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment in purple and embossed and made a lilac triple bow.

Last November I won the challenge over at Elisabeth World Challenge blog and was asked to be a GDT for this month.

Here is my offering I have used Fall Errands 


Step by Step

1. A5 white card which I have matted and layered paper from Emerald City Crafts UK
2. Matted and layered gold pearlescent card cut out with decorative rectangle die.
3. Printed image onto Make it Colour card and coloured with Copic markers, fussy cut around and distressed around the edges.
4. Cut out 3 balloons in coloured card and attached red ribbon to each balloon.
5. To finish off I added pearl gems and sentiment "Special Friend"

Happy Birthday

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Tuesday and that means sharing with you another card made using papers from Emerald City Crafts UK. This time I have used the digi downloads and printed them on my inkjet printer.

I am in the process of designing another 2 sets which will be out in March!

So today is all about the birds.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square card base.
2. Printed off the dotty paper from Steampunked digi set and butterfly background from Les Beaux Oiseaux digi set.
3. Wrapped cream organza ribbon around both layers before adhering to card.
4. Distressed around the edges of the topper with DI ground espresso and adhered to card with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off added the sentiment, butterfly and made double bow then added pearl gem to centre.

The Lady

Did you all have a good weekend?

I did, got lots of admin done but no crafting for a change.
Spent yesterday watching old movies and knitting, nice to do something different for a change.

A new card to share with you today using another of Paper Shelter's digi images, this one is called "the lady"


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 shaped white base card.
2. Matted and layered turquoise pearlescent card and patterned paper from Emerald City Crafts UK Les Beaux Oiseaux paper pack.
3 Printed the image onto Make it Colour white card and colour with Copic markers the matted and layered onto yellow pearlescent card.
4. Flowers are from Gone Artsy and Wild Orchid Crafts with pearl stands.
5. To finish off added the sentiment " especially for you"

You are Fabulous!

I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

A bit of a lazy relaxing weekend here for a change.  
Today I have some admin to do then I plan to spend this afternoon in front of the TV catching up on some movies and getting on with knitting my cardigan.

Whatever you are doing have a wonderful day.

Today another card featuring another gorgeous stamp from Stamps by Me.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card.
2. Matted and layered purple card.
3. The topper I have created by stamping the floral stamp from the Loving Wishes stamp set with Versafine black ink twice then embossing with WOW clear embossing powder. I cut out the inside of both flowers and watercoloured with Generation INX purple and green, then coloured the leaves on the main image.
4. I added splats around the image before adhering the cut out sections and stamped the sentiment.
5. To finish off I adhered topper to base card and added purple gems around the image.

Live Every Moment

Motherly Love

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, this week has flown again, I swear those naughty pixies are taking a couple of hours out of each day!

Typical Saturday household chores to get done today and maybe if I am lucky some time in the craft room playing with some new crafty goodies.

Today another parchment card to share using my Clarity membership baby Groovi plate.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card from Anna Marie Designs
2. Matted and layered silver mirri and blue glitter card.
3. Before adhering layers to base card wrapped white ribbon around the corner.
4. To create the parchment I used Deckle Square plate, then the Nested Circle plate I then positioned the beautiful polar bear family baby Groovi plate inside the circle, added the hearts and the words "motherly love" using the baby plate mate. Around the outside I used the Pergamano 2 Split tool and then snipped away the excess parchment. Coloured the words, the eyes and noses of the bears.
5. I matted and layered onto navy blue card with brads, and adhered to base card. Made a double bow with white satin ribbon and added a silver snowflake to the centre.

Wedding Celebration

A wedding card to share with you today.


Step by Step

1. A5 white base card with corners punched with X-cut corner punch.
2. Matted and layered silver pearlescent card.
3. Printed the image onto Supersmooth and cut out with SB oval die then matted and layered onto pale pink card also cut out with SB scalloped oval die.
4. Added lace along the bottom and added pink pearl trim.
5. To finish off I added the flowers and sentiment.

At the Races

1. A5 white base card.
2. Matted and layered silver pearlescent card and feather patterned paper from Les Beaux Oiseaux.
3. Matted and layered image onto navy blue card.
4. Added lace along the bottom of the card.
5. To finish off I added the sentiment and red pearl gems in the corner.

You brighten my Day!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all this hump day?

Today I will be recording hopefully a couple of video's for my You Tube channel.
Do you do video's? if so then leave your channel address so I can pop across and visit.

Today a card made using one of my favourite stamps from Stamps by Me.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white square base card.
2. Stamped Calla Lily and sentiment using Generation INX black in.
3. Placed stamp back over image and using Tim Holtz stencil and DI stormy sky distressed either side of the stamped image.
4. Stamped the Lamination part of the stamp with Generation INX in blue, spritzed with water then stamped over the image for a watercolour effect.
5. Spritzed some water onto excess blue ink and made very light splats around image.
6. To finish off made a bow and added clear gems around image.
