Wedding Anniversary

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all doing today?
Can you believe it is the last day of February!

I spent all yesterday afternoon in bed, just couldn't get warm at all.
Still feeling rather grotty again today, I wish this cold would go away!

A wedding anniversary card to share with you today.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered red pearlescent card and patterned paper from Debbi Moore designs in 2 different sizes of layering.
3. Matted and layered image onto red pearlescent card.
4. Created the bouquet using an assortment of roses from my stash.
5. To finish off added the pearl corner.

Destination

Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 black square base card.
2. Mat and layer 2 different patterned papers from stash.
3. Adhered card with foam pads, distressed around edges with DI ground espresso.
4. To finish off added the compass and sentiment.

Song of the Lark

Happy Sunday to you all!

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Today I am sharing another card made using designer papers and ephemera from my Etsy Store

Not long now until I release 2 new sets of designer papers and ephemera!


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 white scalloped edge square card base.
2. Matted and layered polka dot and feather papers from my store.
3. Matted and layered the ephemera image onto lilac card which has been distressed with DI dusty concord.
4. Cut out 3 feather's using card from my stash.
5. To finish off added pearl gems to two corners and a floral cabachon to the centre of the feathers.

Fairy Wings

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all this Saturday morning?

We are all well here and the usual Saturday here.
Going to be doing some crafting and videos too.

Today a cute card using another of the beautiful toppers from Hobby House


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 silver pearlescent square card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered pink pearlescent card and patterned paper from Debbi Moore Designs. I have inked around the edges with DI marker pens.
3. Matted and layered pink pearlescent card and patterned paper in a rectangle.
4. I framed the cute topper with small flowers from my stash and adhered to card with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off added the same flowers to two of the corners with clear gems in the centres.

6th Blog Anniversary Candy

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

On the 24th February 2011 I tentatively started my blog!

What an amazing adventure I have had so far, I have made lots of lovely friends from all around the world and even been very lucky to visit one of my friends over in America. 

I feel so blessed to have made such wonderful friends who are so very talented and inspired me to continue creating and sharing with you all.

During that time I have worked for some amazing companies and this year started designing my own papers and ephemera and selling them on my Etsy shop.  Thank you for purchasing and I hope you get as much enjoyment in using them as I do.

You will never know how much over the past 6 years you have all helped me over difficult personal times and for that I can't thank you enough.

Jayne Nesterenko's Fuchsia

I hope my friends in the UK have survived yesterday's terrible weather.

Today a day spent crafting and possibly a video or two.

Today's card is made using the beautiful Fuchsia stamp designed by the late Jayne Nesterenko.
Jayne passed away earlier this month which was just so sad as she was a very humble and talented artist.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card.
2. Matted and layered blue pearlescent card onto base card.
3. Stamped image, frame and card onto white stamping card and coloured with Copic Markers.
4. Used DI chipped sapphire to tone down the white around the image.
5. To finish off added the butterfly and decoupaged the large fuchsia.

Too Cute

Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 red scalloped edge square card.
2. Mat and layer pink and patterned paper to base card.
3. Using green card dies cut out the frame and adhere at an angle, add the topper with foam pads for dimension.
4. Attach rose to centre of crocheted cream flower.
5. To finish off add birthday sentiment.

Parchment Clock

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

How are you all this Wednesday morning, hump day and not long until the weekend.

Today I am sharing with you a parchment clock I started whilst at a workshop run by Maria Simms.
I can show you today as the recipient has received this gift.


Step by Step

1. Using the MDF clock base we drew a circle around onto parchment.
2. I painted the back of the clock in teal acrylic paint.
3. Using an assortment of Clarity Groovi plates designed the clock face.
4. I used Derwent watercolour pencils to colour the back of the parchment and white work on the flowers in the centre.
5. Around the edge of the circle added a decorate edge and cut out using my scissors. 
6. Once the hands were added I then finished off by attaching pearl gems around the outside.

Haberdashery Creativity

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I love anything to do with haberdashery even though I am only just learning how to sew.
I can cross stitch, embroider, knit and crochet, what can you do?

Anything to do with haberdashery in crafting, i.e. stamps, papers, toppers etc I just have to buy. I have 8 jars full of buttons and even inherited my mother in laws button tin :)

Today my card is made using a topper from Hobby House.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered patterned paper from the 12 x 12 Authentic paper pad, distressed around the first layer with DI ground espresso and the second layer with Victorian Velvet.
3. Matted and layered the topper which I have distressed the edges with DI ground espresso onto another piece of patterned paper.
4. Added 2 strips of ribbon from my stash, thimble and thread, tape measure.
5. To finish off I added the scissors and dotted pearl gems around the page.

Art Deco Birthday

Had a good day yesterday at the Trade show, catching up with lots of my crafting friends.

Today sharing a card made using another of my prizes from Debbi Moore Designs.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square base card from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered gold pearlescent card which I have used X-cut corner punch.
3. Added a white heart shaped doily and then the topper.
4. Added the sentiment with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off I added the pearl corner.

Hyacinth

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

A very early start this morning as I am off to Birmingham for the Trade show.

Nikky over at Polkadoodles released some new digi's called Darling Buds, I just fell in love with them and had to buy the set, you get the digi, coloured image and a file of sentiments, how good is that!

For this card I have used Hyacinth the pre-coloured image as I haven't had time to colour up the digi although they have been printed off.


Step by Step

1. 8 x 8 square shaped card base
2. Cut out different size circles using purple polka dot and blue polka dot.
3. Matted and layered white circular doily.
4. Created background using one of my programmes and added Hyacinth, cut out then matted and layered with foam pads.
5. Cut out in blue pearlescent card the romantic vines and arranged around the image.
6. To finish off I added the flowers, butterfly and blue gems.

Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card base from Anna Marie Designs.
2. Matted and layered salmon pink card from stash.
3. The background I created using shaving foam and Generation INX re-inkers from Stamps by Me.
4. I stamped Jewel and the sentiment with Versafine and embossed with WOW embossing powder.
5. To finish off I added black gems.

Imagination

Another male steampunk card to share using papers from my Etsy Shop


Step by Step

1. A6 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black and paper from the Steampunked paper pack  then wrapped twine around before adhering to the base card.
3. Matted and layered purple and cream polka dot paper onto black card then onto the base card.
4. Matted and layered topper onto black card, all papers have been distressed around the edges with DI vintage photo.
5. To finish off added SB sprocket dies in black and kraft card.

New Baby

Step by Step

1. A6 white scalloped edge card.
2. Mat and layer pale pink and deep pink card.
3. Adhere topper with foam pads at an angle onto base card.
4. Along the bottom add some white lace.
5. Thread white ribbon through pram charm and add heart ribbon across like bunting.

Be my Valentine

A Valentine card to share with you today using an image from Patties Creations.


Step by Step

1. A5 white square base card which I have used X-cut corner punch on the corners.
2. Matted and layered black and red card and wrapped heart ribbon around before adhering to base card.
3. Matted a white heart shaped doily.
4. Printed the image and coloured with Copic markers cut out around the image and adhered to base card.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment and added 3 red roses to the ribbon.

Love

How are you all today? 
Did you all have a good weekend?

We will be travelling back home today after a lovely weekend away.

Wishing my lovely hubby Rick a happy anniversary too!

A new card to share using products from IndigoBlu


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 black square base card which I have punched the corners with X-cut corner punch.
2. Matted and layered red pearlescent card to base.
3. Using the Love stamp designed by Mike Deakin Art for Indigoblu stamped with Versamark 4 times and embossed with white embossing powder. I then spritzed over using Luscious Powder raspberry then put to one side to dry.
4. On white card I stamped the Dinkie Flourish Heart with Versafine Crimson Red and embossed with Frantage aged scarlett, I then painted over with Luscious Powder gold and cut out.
5. I joined the hearts together to create a double heart and adhered to base card.

Time to Relax

A card made using one of Elisabeth Bell's toppers.


Step by Step

1. DL scalloped edge white base card.
2. Mat and layer salmon pink and brown patterned card, corners have been punched with X-cut corner punch.
3. Mat and layer topper onto salmon pink card, using distress markers added dots around the image in vintage photo and tattered rose.
4. Added the Petal Lou flowers to one corner.
5. To finish off added the birthday sentiment.

Hubby and I will be of our most of the weekend celebrating our anniversary which is on Monday.

Today's card is using one of my favourite images by Nikky Hall over a Polkadoodle.


Step by Step

1. 7 x 7 white square card from Anna Marie Designs
2. Matted and layered purple and patterned card to base card.
3. Add jute with lace along the middle of card.
4. Printed image and coloured with Copics and cut out with SB Oval die, matted and layered onto polka dot card also cut  out with SB oval die, adhered to card with foam pads.
5. To finish off added the flowers and heart strand.

Mechanical

How are you all doing today?

Looking forward to a weekend of celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary which is on Monday.
I can't believe where the years have gone!

Do you struggle making male card? These papers and ephemera are ideal for male cards.

A new card using my Steampunked papers and ephemera from my Etsy Store


Step by Step

1. A5 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black card which has been distressed with scissors.
3. The next layer is the polka dot paper from Steampunked which I have distressed with scissors and DI ground espresso.
4. The topper has also been distressed with scissors and distress ink then matted and layered onto black card.
5. To finish off I added a couple of sprocket dies in black card and cut the pocket watch from one of the Steampunked papers.

Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 cream square card base.
2. Matted and layered Kraft card which I have distressed with DI ground espresso and butterfly paper from my stash.
3. Stamped the sentiment with Versafine vintage sepia and then embossed with WOW embossing powder.
4. Using one of the butterfly stamps stamped and embossed before cutting out and adhering to the base card.

How are you all this morning?

Going to be spending the day in my craft room, not sure what I will be getting up to yet but whatever it will be messy!

A new card to share with you today using Flower Headband5 from Lemon Shortbread.


Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 square scalloped edge white base card.
2. Matted and layered pink polka dot card from stash.
3. Cut out large heart and 2 smaller hearts with red pearlescent card.
4. Printed image and coloured with Copic Markers, then cut out and adhered over heart with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off joined the small hearts, added the "with love" sentiment and 3 small pink and cream roses from Wild Orchid Craft to the outside of the heart.
